A PERFECT DAY TO GET MARRIED

I’ve shot two weddings now that were completely rained out. This one, and Jess and Jin’s last weekend.  Funnily enough they’ve both been November weddings – though mine was a November wedding also, and a hurt your eyes kind of bright, thirty two degree day.  So we can’t entirely blame the month of November.  But sometimes the rain brings out the best in people – you get to witness right from the start how they’ll handle life when it doesn’t quite go to plan. Jess was serene, calm, optimistic, and completely radiant.  She was getting married, come rain or come shine.  And Jin. Well, he was marrying the love of his life.  And you can see in the images below how he felt about that.

This was a beautiful day.  Perhaps because it wasn’t so much about that particular day, but about all the days from there on in.  It was about the love they shared, and the future ahead of them.  Days full of hurt your eyes kind of brightness, and those where the rain just won’t let up. But through it all, they’ll have each other.  And as they stood there and pledged their lives and their selves to one another we all knew that it was the most perfect of days.  Life really doesn’t get much better than that, regardless of what it looks like on the outside.

Congratulations Jess and Jin – it really was a beautiful day.  And thank you for allowing Hayley and I to be a part of your beautiful day, and for making sure our tummies never forget what a wonderful day it was either.  🙂
