After sixteen hours of sitting on a plane, 5 movies, and 193 repitions of ARE WE THERE YET? from Jaedon, we are now living it up in Southern California. Someone’s turning 40 next week (it may or may not be me) so we are attempting to do it in style. Well, as much style as we can manage with two young kids along for the ride.
We are having a blast so far, and are already contemplating movie to Santa Monica. Surely we can make a living chasing the waves and riding the ferris wheel all day?
While we are doing all this soaking up of sun, outlet shopping (gotta love a country where I can fit into a size 1 pair of jeans), ferris-wheel riding, photo taking and, eventually, Crand Canyon viewing, I will be out of the office. My aim while over here was to post most days, with photos of what we’ve been up to. I’ve had trouble accessing my blog for the last two days though, so we’ll have to see how that one goes. For now, here was our first night on Santa Monica beach, at sunset. Such a perfect place to be.

Today we’re off to Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, via Malibu. You know, to do a spot of house shopping. Just a little holiday home or something.
