We were so happy to have a visit from Matt’s brother rececently, along with the parents. So we made the most of the opportunity to grab a photo of all the men in the family.

I was thinking this morning how this generation is so lucky to have ready access to cameras and digital technology. Not so long ago (in the grand scheme of things) people would have no idea what their ancestors looked like – who resembled who, and where they got their fiery red hair from. It’s comforting to know that somewhere along the line Jaedon and Callan will be able to show their grandchildren what their great-great grandfather looked like. Although, apparently, all the men in this family look the same, so they won’t have far to look.
It’s a nice thought that even though the generations will never meet, they will be given an opportunity to know them, and to see where they come from. How wonderful is that.
