IT’S ARRIVED!

You should know that I’m very excited.  Late last week the FedEx guy arrived at my doorstep with a parcel for me.  I would have hugged him, had I not been sprung in my beautiful winter pj’s and Ugg boots, and was therefore hiding behind the screen door as much as possible.  He rather kindly kept his gaze at eye level, then left me with a nice big box which, when opened, filled my nostrils with the oh so delicious smell of leather.  You know, the same exciting smell you get when you open the box to a brand new pair of brown leather boots, with heels that are just a bit too high, but they look so good and that’s all that matters right.  That kind of smell.
Mmmmmmm.

The reason for my excitement was not, this time, a pair of boots however.  It was my long -awaited, full of gorgeousness, sample wedding album.  Something beautiful to show off to my future brides, or anyone that just wants a sticky-beak really.  I’m happy to show it off – just ask.  :)
Andrew and Melina were happy for me to use images from their recent wedding (blogged here), and while the album is so completely lovely in it’s own right I think these guys would look have made a brown paper covered scrapbook look incredible.

If you’re meeting up with me to discuss your wedding photography in the near future, make sure to ask to see it (and feel it – and smell it.  mmmmmm) – though no doubt I’ll show it to you anyway.  I’ll probably even bring it along to my newborn, couples and engagement photography sessions as well, as there’s no reason why the album couldn’t be designed to suit these sessions also.  I can feel a few more album samples coming up now.

My photos nowhere near do it justice, but here is just a quick glimpse at it for now, along with a few of my favourite pages.

Happy Wednesday!

BLOQUE ART | GORGEOUS NEW PRODUCT LINE

I don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for these.  And I KNEW they turn up when I wasn’t around. So of course I had to drag my tired, hungry children down to the post office to collect them, and stand in line for an eternity (no, I’m not exaggerating – I’m sure it was an eternity…) while they searched their store-room for my much anticipated parcel.  They eventually found it, stacked in the corner with the LCD  TV I’d forgotten we’d ordered, and watched as my face fell, wondering how I would cart both boxes, as well as my children, across the peak-hour, High Street traffic.  I managed, and I survived. And I looooooove what was in the almost lost box.

I’m so excited to be adding a brand spanking new item to my range of beautiful portrait products – Bloque Art.
To be honest, I’m really struggling to describe these. They’re stunning, striking, contemporary, unique. They’re luminous, eye-catching, breath-taking, attention-grabbing. And they’re definately not designed to be tucked away in a drawer, or hidden in the guest room.  You’ll want these out where everyone can see them. Even the guy that comes to sell you cable right in the middle of dinner.

I’m not the greatest product photographer in the world, but here is a quick look at what I’m talking about.

Bloque Art is all about choosing your favourite images, and incorporating them with stylish, high-quality acrylic blocks (or tiles). They are free-standing, so they’re perfect for placing on your choice of surface – the mantel, your piano, sideboard, or alongside the TV – though you’ll be hard pressed to choose which image to look at in this case…
They come in four different sizes, the smallest two (10×10 and 10×15 cm) being perfect for putting on mum or dad’s desk in the office.
I’m lamenting the fact that these weren’t out just that little bit earlier – they’d have made the perfect Christmas gift.

If you have a session coming up I’ll be sure to bring these along with me, so you can see and appreciate them for yourself.  Honestly, my photographs do not do them justice.

Back, and on the go again.

So we returned from our week away over the weekend.  We had a wonderful time, touring the southern coast of Victoria – not too far from home but it was kind of impromptu, so we had no time to book flights or accomodation etc. I guess it was a kind of mad thing to do with two young kids in tow, but they coped marvelously – probably much better than we did.
I have a tonne of photos, naturally, which I might share along the way – once I get to go through them all.  I have a couple of sessions I need to edit first though, so it will take a great deal of self-control to stay away from them for now.  Maybe I might just have a little peep every now and then.
If you sent me an email during this last week and haven’t heard back from me, that’s why.  I did try to set a ‘holiday notification’ to go out in response, but it was all a bit technical and I’m not sure I got it working. Nevertheless I’m sure you’ll hear from me very soon.

And I just had to say that yesterday was a truly lovely day. I hope all of you out there that are also mums (or moms) were well looked after and deservedly spoiled. I was. And just to show you how wonderful my hubby and kids are, here’s just a little collage to show just how spoiled I was.
