KAT AND JAY

Right now there are roughly seventeen thousand kilometres between Kat and Jay, not that I want to remind her of that, but I have a feeling that distance and time is irrelevant really.
As I photographed them for their engagement session I saw the way Jay looked at Kat.  The way he touched her, caressed her. And I noticed the way she responded, not taking his affection for granted, but returning it. Wholeheartedly.
These two like each other. They really like each other.  Every little glance, each movement, every touch, each shared moment said they were in it for the long haul, no matter what life brings their way.  And it just so happens, right now, that life has them living on opposite sides of the world from each other.  But what I love about these two is their faith in each other to both let go and go, to be able to live their lives seperated but intertwined.  Living the present but looking forward with wonderful expectation to their future. Together.

Thank you guys for allowing me to capture this stage in your amazing journey.  And thank you for being so gorgeous, so open, and so willing to accept me as much as a friend as a photographer.  I can’t wait to watch your future unfold.
