Lovin my new baby (5D MKII).

I can’t tell you how excited I am at the moment!
On Friday (the one just gone), after much waiting and antipation, I finally got the call to tell me my new baby camera was waiting for me. I’d been wanting (and needing) to updgrade my camera for a long time now and had heard rumours of the 5D replacement due out ‘any time’.  That ‘any time’ was a very long time in my books (and with my level of patience) but it’s finally here.  YAY!!!  :)
It’s been a busy weekend so I haven’t had a whole lot of time to play with it, but what I’ve seen so far I absolutely LOVE!!!  It’s so sharp, and clear, and yummy. Did I mention I love it?
How did I ever live without it? :)

Anyway, we managed to get the kids into bed in record time last night (think production line) so I could run up the road and try and catch the sun going down.   Here’s a few shots from that effort.

For those interested in the technical stuff, the first two shots were both taken at 640 ISO at 160th of a second (the first at f9, the second at f5.6, and the last shot was taken at 200th of a second at f22, using 4000 ISO!  Check out that noise (or lack of)!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

And here’s just a couple of shots taken Saturday while we were back playing on our bit of land.

Next on the list now is to figure out how to use the video function – that should be a bit of fun. :)
